Research into institutions that distribute similar products

PolyGram distributed the UK comedy Lock,Stock and Two Smoking Barrels http://www.imdb.com/company/co0106129/

They have also distributed a lot of UK based film like 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' and 'Trainspotting' etc this may make them a viable candidate for distributing my film as it will be a UK film, and they have an obvious interest in them, regardless of genre.

PolyGram was previously owned by a Ducth music group, then was sold in 2000 to Seagram liqour company, is still based in England and still heavily involved in UK films.

My film would be better suited to Left Film Entertainment a smaller distribution company working with low budget UK films. http://www.leftfilms.com/

Prelim Rationale

Cover :

I have designed a magazine cover for a audience of 16-18 year old college students specifically for Queen Elizabeth students hence a few of the decision. The purple and gold colour scheme reflective of the college colour scheme on logo and college clothing, this should entice the audience into it, also the white background gives it a clean and not over cluttered feel to it. The sell lines, sell the magazine quickly with direct clues to whats inside, and words like 'Survive' and others draw the reader in as though they have to buy it like it essential. The fonts are bold and bright stand out from the white background to catch the eye of the reader. The image of the student allows others to relate to the magazine making them more likely to buy it. To also help add incentive in the banner i have shown the low price and a offered a gift of a map to tease the buyer.

Contents :

The contents of my magazine will follow the same pattern the yellow and purple colour scheme will follow suit to keep a stylised and professional look. Once again its clean and sharp, straight the to the point, as college students are busy and on a tight schedule, a organised contents is essential. Font size isnt to big but large to get what want quickly.
